Founder & CEO
Carlos has extensive international business experience. He has worked for various multinational corporations, and has had major responsibilities for sales and operations for Latin America and the USA.
In addition, Carlos has business start-up experience and business consulting experience. He has worked for IBM, Elexco International, Proxima, Abitibi Consolidated and LatinVision Media Inc. and has undertaken independent international assignments.
He holds a B.S. from the University of Argentina and an M.B.A. from New York University. Carlos lives in New York City and has two daughters Flavia and Lorenza. Carlos is a native of Argentina and is fluent in Spanish and English.
Over the past years, he has been giving lectures at various universities, chambers and events all over Latin America.
Prior to this, he was co-founder and Regional Director of DeRemate.com (Latin America), DeMotores.com and Bazzee. He also co-founded Grupo Covedisa (Starphone, Bonvivir and the call center). These companies were sold during 2005 and 2006.
With the entrepreneurship that has always characterized him, he took his first steps in the Internet industry in 1999, when he co-founded DeRemate.com, together with Guido and Alec. While many were living in the Internet bubble, this online auction company expanded into 9 Latin American countries forming a community of more than 3 million registered users.
He holds a degree in Accounting and a PhD in Strategic Planning both from the University of Buenos Aires, and an MBA from the University of CEMA (Argentine Macroeconomic Studies Center).
In 2002, he began his career in the Online Marketing and eCommerce business at DeRemate.com, as Sales Manager for Uruguay, Peru and USA.
Two years later, he was appointed by eBay Spain to take charge of the Technology category management from Madrid. As from 2006, he was responsible for SEO and SEM (Web Positioning and Sponsored Links, respectively) of said company.
Later on, he was called by TBG London, an online marketing agency specialized in performance. He moved to London and held the position of Account General Manager where he set up the Search Engine Marketing area.
Back in Argentina, he provides online marketing consulting for the Think-Thanks Group. His passion is to help companies take their first steps in the online marketing world. For this purpose, he assists them in the creation of their Online Departments and each of its channels. He also advises them on how to measure their investment and manage their campaigns through the available media provided by the Internet.
